DJI's magnesium-aluminum-clad Inspire 2 Quadcopter is a powerful cinematic and photographic tool. Combining the Inspire 2 with X5S gimbal cameras yields cinema-grade images, which can be recorded in high bit rates using H.264 and H.265 formats, or, in the case of the X5S, various flavors of Apple ProRes and CinemaDNG RAW using the required licenses available from DJI. All the recording functionality is processed by the Inspire 2's CineCore 2.0 image processing engine.

 
  Not all the power to be found in the Inspire 2 is in the recording functionality. DJI beefed up the flight capabilities of the Inspire 2. Able to accelerate to 50 mph in 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 58 mph, the Inspire 2 can follow fast-moving subjects for dramatic sports and action footage. The flight prowess of the Inspire 2 doesn't come at the expense of battery life. With the two included LiPo batteries onboard, up to 27 minutes of flight time can be had on a full charge.

The versatile Ronin 2 gimbal from DJI is suitable for use handheld, or mounted in a variety of ways, including to a drone, Steadicam, vehicle mount, and more. An update from the original Ronin, this motorized stabilization system is suitable for a range of camera and lens configurations, boasting a payload capacity of 30 pounds. This means it can be used for everything from DSLRs up to cinema cameras such as the Arri Alexa Mini and Sony FS7.

Like its predecessor, the Ronin 2 features support for Underslung, Upright, and Briefcase operation modes to help you achieve the best angle.
However, it has been redesigned to enable easy transition between Upright and Underslung modes without changing the position of the camera.
It also offers several other improvements, such as enhancements to the control software and physical design to simplify taking complex shots without sacrificing performance, all while making important functions more readily accessible.

Upgraded high torque motors allow the gimbal to support a wider range of cameras, resist high winds and G-forces caused when mounted to a car, and keep it moving smoothly in flight.
Boosted Torque 
With up to eight times more powerful motors than previous iterations, Ronin 2 can withstand sustained speeds of over 75 mph with camera builds as heavy as 30 pounds. Thanks to encoded motors and enhanced precision, the Ronin maintains the same 0.02° of accuracy of its predecessors.

Versatility 

Detachable Grip 
A detachable grip allows Ronin 2 to stand up on its own and is easily separated when the lower part of the handgrip is not needed. In addition to handheld work, the Ronin 2 supports mounting on cable cams, drones, Steadicams, vehicle mounts, and more.

Panasonic's Cinema VariCam 4K S35is a single Super 35-sized sensor digital cinema camera with a lightweight magnesium body and interchangeable lens mount. The sensor features dual native ISO ratings of 800 and 5000. The camera is capable of capturing 14-stops of dynamic range when using V-Log and recording up to 60 fps at 4K, and up to 240 fps at 2K.

You can record your footage to high-data-rate files using the camera's built-in expressP2 card while simultaneously recording proxy files to the camera's SD card slot. Designed as a camera that is at home on productions as diverse as "Cinéma Vérité"-style documentaries, reality TV, commercial and corporate applications Sony's PXW-FS7 XDCAM Super 35 Camera System is a flexible 4K camera system. It features a Super 35mm size sensor that allows you to capture images with cinematic depth of field. The camera's E-mount is machined from stainless steel and allows you to use E-mount lenses or with the use of optional adapters to accept most 35mm lenses including PL, EF, Leica, and Nikon. The camera can capture footage to optional on-board XQD media cards in either DCI (4096 x 2160), UHD (3840 x 2160) at up to 60 FPS or HD at up to 180 FPS.
The camera records in your choice of XAVC-I, XAVC-L, or MPEG-2. However, MPEG-2 recording does not support the high data rates the camera is capable of generating when shooting in UHD, and is limited to recording HD video only. The camera incorporates Dual XQD media card slots that support simultaneous or relay recording. An ergonomically designed handgrip provides control of many of the camera's functions and features an adjustable length support arm.

   Housing a high-resolution 5.7K image sensor capable of rendering smooth 4K images inside a compact body, Panasonic's AU-EVA1 Compact 5.7K Super 35mm Cinema Camera is a flexible camera system ready for documentary, cinema, and live event production. The 5.7K sensor is used to super-sample internal recordings, resulting in higher resolving images with less noise and artifacting when compared to non-super-sampled recordings. Panasonic's acclaimed Dual Native ISO technology is also incorporated into this sensor. Dual Native ISO uses alternative circuitry within the sensor, rather than adding gain or shifting the gamma of the original signal output, to increase sensitivity while maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio. The standard native ISO is 800, which works for most production situations. This can be switched to 2500 when working in dim scenarios.          

                                   

      

 

            An EF lens mount at the front of the body supports a wide-range of interchangeable lenses from popular manufacturers. Directly behind the mount is an electronically controlled ND filter wheel offering, 2, 4, and 6 stops of filtration for cutting down on excess light, letting you set your lens's aperture to fit the desired aesthetic of your production. For further flexibility, the IR-cut filter is defeatable for shooting in extreme low-light situations or for creative color effects.

        On the back-end, videos are recorded using 10-bit, 4:2:2 sampling for smooth gradations in subtle shades and a reduction in banding artifacts over 8-bit sampling. Bit-rates of up to 150 Mbps are available for high image quality without an extreme memory penalty.

          Infusing high-resolution recording into a small form-factor camera body gives DPs and camera operators the flexibility to achieve cinema-grade images in spaces normally restrictive of larger camera systems. Additionally, since tactile controls and I/O connections are available on the exterior of the camera, the overall design doesn't sacrifice conventional ergonomics for traditional shooting scenarios whether operating handheld or locked down atop a tripod.

Convergent Design's Odyssey7Q Raw OLED Monitor & Recorder is an advanced follow-up to Convergent's Gemini 4:4:4 Raw monitor/recorder. The Odyssey7Q features a 7.7" 1280 x 800 OLED display with a 3400:1 contrast ratio and is equipped with advanced image analysis tools, including Waveform and RGB Parade. It includes the Apple ProRes 422 HQ codec (up to 1080p30) and supports several high-speed Raw and HD recorder options, sold separately. It features two built-in SSD slots and records to Convergent Design 2.5" SSDs only.

The Odyssey7Q has two SDI inputs, two outputs, and two bi-directional SDI ports. It automatically detects the incoming video format and when possible creates an entire recorder/monitor setup based on camera metadata. The bi-directional SDI ports can be assigned as either inputs or outputs via menu selection. When these are assigned as inputs, the monitor can simultaneously stream four separate 1080/30p/60i signals from a multicam setup, and you can monitor all four in a quad-split screen.

The interface is a capacitive touchscreen and simple to navigate, meaning less setup time. Most of the inputs/outputs are on the bottom, and 1/4" mounting threads are on the sides. An AC adapter is included for continuous power, and compatible IDX, AB and Sony battery plates are available.

The SliderPLUS V2 Medium from edelkrone is a slider that uses a unique tracking mechanism that allows the rails of the slider to move with the camera when mounted on a tripod. This gives the slider 24" of sliding range in a unit that is only 17.2" long. Its compact sizes makes it ideal for travel, as it takes of up less room in your camera bag than other sliders with a similar sliding range. The slider supports loads up to 13.2 pounds.

The tracking system works by having two thin bands that are connected to each side of the mounting plate and base plate. When placed on a flat surface, the base plate travels in the opposite direction of the mounting plate. This will yield results of traditional slider. To take advantage of the design, the SliderPLUS V2 needs to be mounted to a tripod. When mounted on a tripod, the movement of the base plate is restricted, causing the rails to move through the base plate in the same direction as the mounting plate.

With traditional sliders, you're often limited to the amount of dolly in/out you can do, because the slider itself usually will end up in the shot eventually. With the SliderPLUS V2, the rails are also retracting backwards with the camera, allowing for longer dolly in/out shots. A lock mechanism can be engaged to keep the slider from moving if the tripod becomes unlevel.

The slider provides a 3/8"-16 threaded hole at the bottom of the base plate for attaching to tripods, and comes with interchangeable 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws for mounting a camera or flat base tripod head to the mounting plate.

The unique MICRODOLLY Jib System is truly a product of the aerospace age. Designed for the crew that must travel light, the Basic Jib weighs just over 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and can easily carry camera gear loads up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg). It can be mounted on most professional tripods or hi-hats.

When needed, the Jib can also be mounted upside down. The Canon EOS C500 4K Cinema Camera (EF Lens Mount) represents Canon's first foray into the world of 4K digital cinema production. Sharing a sensor with the earlier EOS C300 camera, the EOS C500 fulfills the potential of the large (Super 35mm-size), high-resolution (8.8 Mp effective) CMOS imager by offering full 4K RAW output via 3G-SDI.

The C500 also has a body type in common with the C300. Featuring large, accessible buttons with ridges dividing them, the EOS C500 has been designed expressly for the craft of digital cinema. Its signal output is similarly appropriate: At rates up to 60 frames per second, the 10-bit 4K RAW data stream output can be recorded to an approved external device (sold separately) at full resolution. Using a format called 4K half RAW, which halves the horizontal resolution, you can capture up to 120 fps to the external recorder by using both of the C500's 3G-SDI outputs.

The PIX 240i records Quicktime files in either Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD video formats. Files recorded in these intra-frame codecs are ready-for-editing directly from the recorder. For color-critical applications recording to Apple ProRes 4444 provides uncompressed alpha-channel transparency for superb chroma keying and grading performance.

Extensive Video I/O

The video input on the PIX 240i has extensive compatibility with a wide range of cameras. It's BNC input accepts 12-bit 3G SDI (4:4:4 RGB or YCbCr), HD-SDI, SDI. Its HDMI input accepts high-definition and standard-definition video. With its 3G-SDI 4:4:4 input, recording to ProRes 4444 offers recordings that are perceptually indistinguishable from the original source material.

 
 

Frame Rate Converter and Scaler

The PIX 240i features a powerful hardware scaler and frame rate converter. Up, down, cross-conversion and pulldown removal give users the ability to record files in a customer-requested rate, even rates not supported by the camera. Time Code Generator

The on-board high-accuracy Ambient time code generator makes the PIX 240i right at home on any production from simple single camera shoots, to complex multi-camera sync-sound productions.
